First A.M.E. Child and Family Center serves children and their families in the following areas:
Early Childhood Development and Health Services:
The program provides a range of individualized services in Education, Health, Nutrition, Safety, Mental health and Disabilities.
Family Partnerships:
Work in close partnership with parents to assist them in developing and utilizing individual and family strengths.
Community Partnerships:
Foster relationships with our community so that families are served by a network of community agencies.
Program Governance:
Governing body that shares responsibility for overseeing the delivery of high quality services to children and families through Policy Council, Policy Committee, and Parent Committee Structure.
Programs are locally designed:
Each Program is designed to serve the unique needs of its particular community.
Head Start is a program within the Administration for Children, Youth and Families at the Department of Health and Human Services
